HERITAGE FESTIVAL’S COOKING CONTEST

RULES AND REGULATIONS

Saturday October 17, 2009 

 

1.       Entry fee of $10.00 per FOOD ENTERED and  must be turned in with the registration form by October 1st  to  J. V. Waller.

2.       Starting time will be at 10:00 A.M. and food entries will be picked up at 1:00 P.M. for judging.  The judges will decide the “HERITAGE FESTIVAL WIZARDS”

3.       The categories will be  pinto beans and/or corn bread.  You may enter all or as many categories as you like;  each  category will be judged individually.

4.       All food must be prepared on-site; pre-cooked food (s) will be disqualified;  however, the pinto beans may be pre-soaked.

5.       Teams can consist of up to 4 members with one being the head cook.  However no children under the age of 12 are allowed.

6.       Prizes will consist of $100 for each category.  Winners will be announced at 2:00 P.M.

7.       Each team will be responsible and expected to keep its cooking area clean at all times.  They will be expected to clean up after themselves when the competition is over.

8.       Each team will provide their own food, utensils, etc.

9.       Each team will be required to have a fire extinguisher, in working order, in case of emergency.

10.     The Union County Heritage Festival’s Board of Directors, its Oversight Committee, the Union County Historical Society and the Union County Chamber of Commerce or the sponsors are not responsible for any thefts, injuries or accidents that may occur.

 

THE CONTEST WILL BE HELD THE DAY OF THE UNION COUNTY HERITAGE FESTIVAL (October 17) AT WILSON PARK IN  MAYNARDVILLE.

Turn all registration forms in to J. V. Waller by October 1st along with your  entry fee to:
